CPR
During Irish, Our irish teacher and health officer took my class to the halla nua. They then explained what we were doing. Th y should us how to properly do CPR and how to use a AED machine. It was really important as I got to learn how to use a really important tool for saving lives and how to keep someone alive. It also gave me an introduction into first aid that I might do later on. We were given a dummy to practice on. We were showed the proper technique in the middle of the chest. We told to press at a certain speed and how hard we had to press was decided when it blew out and made a noise. It used AED machines then. Then were fake ones but we were told to put the points and how to activate it. It was really important that we got it right or we could kill our dummy. It was really fun learning how to properly use AED machines and how properly preform first aid on a patient
